Duke earned his doctorate of law in 1988 from the University of Laverne and has been in a workers’ compensation practice for the last 31 years.

His work philosophy is based on efficiency, customer service, timely production, and innovation. He interacts directly with employers and insurance companies to insure customer satisfaction.

He handles all aspects of a full case load as well as cutting edge cases such as Miceli/CIGA cases and multi-jurisdictional cases for both trials and appeals.

As Non-equity Partner, interacted directly with employers, brokers and insurance companies to insure customer satisfaction, and mentor new attorneys to meet our high standards. Train, motivate and direct a staff of approximately 60 people, handled discipline and firing in conjunction with the other partners. Handled all aspects of a full case load as well as cutting edge cases such as Miceli cases and multi-jurisdictional cases for both trials and appeals.

Law Offices of Marsh & Beal, 1994 – 1999
Managing Attorney In-house for TIG, managed up to five offices at the same time during an office consolidation project. This involved documenting, retraining or removing and replacing all the unproductive staff members, and re-staffed with new employees where needed. Pulled in thousands of files from outside counsel and handled them in-house far more efficiently and with less expense than outside counsel.

Paul, Schaldenbrand, Brisco& Marsh, 1992 – 1994
As Managing Attorney managed the Irvine staff counsel office of Traveler’s Insurance workers’ compensation program as well as handling a highly technical caseload and operating under court deadlines.
